I got this game a few months back and I just wanted to say I absolutely love this system and can't go back to anything else! I loved Knave but wanted a bit of a trait system for ancestries and features gear can't cover and Glaive V2 does all of that while keeping that Knave modability alive. The system is the perfect bridge for folks who love more modern systems but also love osr's more simplistic gameplay approach. It is easy to convert D&D 5e players from one to the other as anything you'd wanna do in 5e can be converted into a trait, item, or spell in Glaive very easily while also making it easy to add any homebrew rules you might need to the system. The trait system is also easily expandable to customize all sorts of characters that more rigid systems wouldn't allow for allowing for endless ancestry options for your players as long as your willing to sit down with them and create traits together that fit their characters or even homebrew mix and match existing ancestry traits to resemble a different ancestry than the core rulebook ones.  It's criminal that I only accidentally stumbled upon this game looking at Knave hacks and that none of the big youtubers or anyone even mentions this game system as it's made with a lot of love and really captures what a ttrpg system should be, one that allows your characters to be anything you the GM warrant as ok for your table rather than being stuck with the same one or two options every time you play.

Also for those who might be confused on how to convert 5e stats into Glaive ones, generally if you take the mod of the stat that's the score for saves skills and dmg, use the higher of str/con as STR in Glaive is essentially both, use the higher of Int/Wis since WIS in Glaive is your all encompassing Mind stat, Charisma becomes Willpower and that usually works fine with some more bulky creatures needing a bit of adjusting here or there and follow monster masher rules for their Atk bonus and HP usually AC can be fine the way it is in 5e but you might wanna adjust one or two points down for some monsters unless they use equipment then treat their AC as it would be using the equipment section. Definitely recommend modern ttrpg players and osr players alike give this game a shot :D!
